Mrs. Mamiya (間宮夫人 Mamiya-fujin) is the mother-in-law of Keisuke Suga and a minor character in Weathering With You.
Appearance[]
Mrs. Mamiya is an elderly and stern-looking woman with short gray hair that flows about her head, parted to her right with one tuft curving upwards towards the left side of her head. She wears notably dark pink lipstick and matching nail polish, as well as a light purple shirt with a white scarf draped around her shoulders. A pink bangle decorates her left wrist and she wears circular pearl-like earrings that hang on thin chains from each earlobe, a similar-looking necklace around her neck.
Personality[]
Mrs. Mamiya is shown to be a strict individual, denying her son-in-law, Keisuke, the right to see his own daughter because of the rain and his smoking habits. However, her actions may also be seen as kind and caring towards Moka Suga, as all she has asthma and Mrs. Mamiya is only trying to ensure she doesn't fall ill by seeing her father.

Mrs. Mamiya is the mother of Asuka Suga, Keisuke's late wife. After her daughter's death, she took custody of her granddaughter, Moka, from Keisuke against his will.
2021[]
On a rainy day, she meets with Keisuke at a café. She rejects his request to see Moka, pointing out that he is still smoking and that would both give a bad impression to the child, and affect her asthma.
2024[]
According to Hodaka in the light novel, Mrs. Mamiya and her husband are still holding custody of Moka, but their relationship with Keisuke seems to have softened over the years.
